Your breast enlargement operation is performed under general anaesthetic, meaning you will be asleep during the procedure.  Breast augmentation may be carried out as day surgery but sometimes an overnight stay is required. The implants used in breast enlargement surgery are cohesive silicone gel implants - these implants are known for their long history of reliable use and the natural shape they give.

The Cosmetic Clinic will be with you every step of the way before, during and after your treatment. Following breast enlargement surgery, it is recommended that you get adequate rest once you arrive home - however, you should remain gently mobile and active instead of going to bed. Avoid bending, stooping, strenuous exercise, lifting heavy objects, swimming and vacuuming for a minimum of six weeks. You will also need to take approximately one week off work.

You will be required to wear supportive sports bra following surgery, both during the day and at night for the first few weeks of recovery. Your surgeon will advise you on the size you will need. Everybody recovers from breast enlargement surgery at different rates - so ensure you are fully recovered before undertaking any potentially risky activities.
