Zoom! Advanced Power Teeth Whitening
The very latest way to whiten your teeth; by utilising an advanced light activated whitening gel, you can achieve up to 10 shades of whitening in as little as 45 minutes. At your appointment the procedure begins with your mouth and lips being protected using a special kit and the Zoom! Advanced Power gel being applied to your teeth, this is then activated with a special light and three or four 15 minute sessions are carried out to give your whiter teeth. The active ingredient in the gel is hydrogen peroxide which penetrates the tiny pores in the enamel of your teeth, gently removing stains without changing the structure of your teeth in any way.
In some cases, your lighter teeth can be further enhanced by the use of some customised whitening trays for a few sessions at home after your Zoom! Advanced Power treatment. This will be discussed with you before treatment by your dentist.
Teeth whitening is not appropriate if you are pregnant or under 16 years old.
Home (Tray Based) Teeth Whitening
This is the most widely used teeth whitening treatment where at your first appointment with your dentist the shade of your teeth is recorded and impressions are taken of your teeth for custom fabricated whitening trays to be made at the dental laboratory. These trays are clear and very discrete and are worn with a special whitening gel inside them on a daily basis. It is usual to wear the trays for about 90 minutes per session and this treatment is carried out in the comfort of your own home.
